Most people spend their lives preparing—for careers, families, retirement, or the next big

milestone. We plan, organize, save, and strategize. Yet the one reality every person will face –

eternity - is often the one thing we prepare for the least. But Scripture reminds us that life is a vapor, here for a moment and gone the next. Eternity, however, is forever. That truth alone

should shift the way we live right now.

Preparing for eternity isn’t about being fearful of the unknown; it’s about being faithful with the known. God has already made the way clear: eternal life is found through Jesus Christ.

Preparing begins with surrender—giving Him your heart, your trust, your questions, and your future. It’s choosing to live each day not for temporary pleasures, but for eternal purpose. What you love, what you chase, and what you value reveal where your treasure truly is.

When you prepare for eternity, it transforms your priorities. You begin to forgive quicker, love

deeper, and live with intentionality. You care less about applause and more about obedience. You stop striving to build your own kingdom and start living for God’s. You recognize that every conversation, every act of kindness, and every decision has the potential to echo in eternity. Preparing for forever changes how you walk through today.

God doesn’t call you to prepare alone. He equips you through His Word, strengthens you through His Spirit, and surrounds you with His people. Eternity is not just a destination, it’s a direction. And the journey begins now.

So live with heaven in view. Anchor your heart to what lasts. Prepare today for the home your soul was always meant for. Eternity isn’t far off—it’s closer than you think, and it’s worth

preparing for with everything you have.
